Dr. Ajoy Debbarma is an Indian academic currently serving as an Assistant Professor (Grade I) in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh. My research interests span solar thermal systems, boiling heat transfer, battery thermal management, and nanofluids, with a focus on integrating experimental methods and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) modeling.
I am actively engaged in academic collaboration and knowledge dissemination through Future Energy and Thermal Engineering Research (FEATHER)—a research platform that fosters industry-academia partnerships and promotes interdisciplinary innovation in thermal sciences.
My academic journey began with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from TIT Narsingarh (Tripura), followed by an M.Tech in Thermal Engineering and a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from NIT Silchar (Assam). My doctoral research, completed in 2017, was centered on advanced cooling techniques, laying a strong foundation in CFD and heat transfer modeling.
